Rachel Chiu
I have served as a research associate for the Project on Emerging Technologies since the beginning of 2020. In this role, I contribute to original research and support the project director’s expansive portfolio, which includes topics such as autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, and internet governance. I am proud of our work because it has a tangible impact on public policy discussions and broadly furthers the ideals of a free society.
This experience has enabled me to build upon my analytical and writing skills, which I have used in many other professional pursuits. I am confident that my time at Cato has given me a strong foundation for my career. I am especially grateful for my supervisors and colleagues, whose doors are always open for brainstorming and collaboration. Above all, they have taught me how to approach policy with principles and values.
