WASHINGTON — The Cato Institute is pleased to announce the addition to its staff of Bob Garber as director of marketing. 

Prior to joining Cato, Garber served in senior marketing positions for a number of nationally recognized organizations. Most recently, he was director of marketing and public information for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. While at the museum, he directed its national and international marketing and advertising, and was responsible for its direct outreach to professional groups and constituent organizations. 

In addition, Garber has served as director of marketing for the Washington Speakers Bureau. He has worked also marketing and writing for several publishing and professional training organizations during his career, including ESI International and Federal Publications Inc. 

He received his undergraduate degree in literature from the George Washington University.
