Vance H. Fried is Riata Professor of Entrepreneurship and director of the Institute for Free Enterprise & Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University. He is an expert on entrepreneurship in the education industry, entrepreneurship and public policy, and venture finance.
Fried is the author of Better/Cheaper College: An Entrepreneur’s Guide to Rescuing Undergraduate Education and related papers for the Cato Institute and other think tanks. In addition, he has published in several major academic and practitioner journals.
Prior to joining the faculty at Oklahoma State, Fried worked as an attorney in private practice, executive of an independent oil company, and investment banker working with small and mid‐cap companies.
