Goettler and his family have been proud supporters of Cato for over twenty years, and he joined the board of the Institute in September 2014. Goettler is a member of the Mont Pelerin Society and has traveled extensively meeting, assisting, and drawing inspiration from free‐market and libertarian organizations and freedom advocates in countries throughout the world.
Goettler received a bachelor of science and a master of science in 1986 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
