Karl T. Muth is an expert on financial regulation and his comments and/or research have been cited in SEC final rules, in implementation decisions, and by a recent Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He earned J.D. and M.B.A. degrees in the United States, the latter with a concentration in Economics at the University of Chicago, and M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees at the London School of Economics. He was a member of Northwestern’s economics faculty for over a decade and also taught at Northwestern’s Pritzker School of Law (2015–2020) and now teaches at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
