Ivane Nachkebia

Ivane Nachkebia is a research consultant for budget and entitlement policy at the Cato Institute, with a primary focus on Social Security. He writes regularly on the Debt Dispatch, the no.1 fiscal newsletter read by members of Congress. His forthcoming book, co-authored with Romina Boccia, Reimagining Social Security: Global Lessons for Retirement Policy Changes, will be published by Cato in August of 2025. Originally from the Republic of Georgia, Ivane completed his bachelor’s degree in economics at the International School of Economics in Tbilisi. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Digital Economy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
