Gabriella Beaumont-Smith was a policy analyst at the Cato Institute’s Herbert A. Stiefel Center for Trade Policy Studies. Her research focused on the economics of U.S. trade policy.

Previously, Beaumont-Smith was a Senior Policy Analyst in Trade and Macroeconomics at The Heritage Foundation where she developed trade models to analyze extant trade policies, such as tariffs.
Her work has been published in numerous outlets, including The Washington Times, and she has appeared on television and radio stations across the United States. Beaumont-Smith has also testified before the United States Trade Representative, the United States Department of Commerce, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
Beaumont-Smith holds an MA in economics from George Mason University where she was an MA Fellow at the Mercatus Center, and a BA in economics from the University of Connecticut.
