Fernando M. Martin is an assistant vice president in the Research Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He serves as an advisor to the Bank president on monetary policy and conducts research on fiscal and monetary policies, and money and banking. His publications include articles in the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, European Economic Review, and International Economic Review. Prior to joining the Bank in 2021, he was an economist at the Central Bank of Argentina and associate professor of economics at Simon Fraser University. Martin received his MA and PhD in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a BA and MA in economics from Universidad Torcuato di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
