Since taking office, President Donald Trump has issued several executive orders targeting immigration. In a new blog post, David Bier, the director of immigration studies at Cato, outlines what exactly these orders have done, and what else President Trump intends to do in regards to immigration.

Bier argues that “these orders will backfire and result in a more disorderly, dysfunctional, and expensive immigration system.” He also notes that several of the actions violate US law and the Constitution.
