Lawrence H. White is a professor of economics at George Mason University. He is an expert on banking and monetary policy. He is the author of Competition and Currency: Essays on Free Banking and Money (1989). He spoke at the Cato Institute’s 29th Annual Monetary Conference in November 2011.
