British MP Nick Herbert talks about gays and conservative politics.
Do gays have a place in conservative politics? Nick Herbert believes so. Herbert is an MP in the British Parliament and a Conservative Party member. Under the leadership of David Cameron, Britain’s Conservative Party has jettisoned much of its former opposition to gay rights. Cameron supported civil unions for gays and appointed a number of openly gay men to his shadow cabinet. Herbert argues that the changes in Great Britain have lessons for the United States.
