President, Iowans for Tax Relief and Former Iowa House Majority Leader
We have made the decision to cancel the event “Less Bureaucracy, More Democracy–Iowa’s Pathway to a Brighter Future” with Gov. Kim Reynolds in light of Tuesday’s severe weather and tornadoes in Iowa and the greater Midwest region.
Thank you for your understanding. We hold those affected in our thoughts at this time.
The Cato Institute is pleased to welcome Iowa governor Kim Reynolds on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a panel discussion with Marc Joffe, federalism and state policy analyst at the Cato Institute, and Chris Hagenow, president of Iowans for Tax Relief.
Nationally, people are tired of the regulatory state and especially with unelected government officials making rules, passing decrees, and imposing policies on how they can work, live, and pursue happiness. Join us for a discussion on regulatory reduction and how state leaders are hacking away at the overgrowth of the regulatory state.
