The 2000 election has fostered fierce debate about campaign finance. Congress recently passed a law requiring disclosure of contributors by "Section 527" groups involved in issue advertising, and reformers are seeking broader new regulations of money in politics. Please join us for an address by Rep. Tom DeLay, who defends traditional First Amendment rights in elections and contests the assumptions behind campaign finance "reform." Rep. DeLay will also take questions from the audience, which will be followed by comments from two experts in the area.
